I am sorry to hear that this happened. Many of the files such as languages and vehicles can be restored in Garmin Express. Please refer to the following FAQ to install Garmin Express:
How do I install Garmin Express on the computer?

    To restore language files:
Why are there voices missing on my device after I updated the map?

    To install vehicles:
How do I install custom vehicle icons or custom voices to my device?

If you are missing the maps on your device, you will need to purchase a map update since the maps that came preloaded on your device are not available to download. Garmin Express will offer the option to purchase an update on the updates page.

If you are missing your basemap (Should be gmapbmap.img in the Garmin folder of your device), please contact product support by phone.

thank you for your reply .
i have garmin express installed but for some reason restore file does not work .

can system files be copied from similar nuvi465 to mine ? will that work or each gps has its own system files ?
    thanks

The backup/restore feature in Garmin Express is not intended to backup or restore system files. It will only backup and restore your personal data like your favorites. You will need to follow the instructions in my previous post to restore the system files. I would not recommend copying files from one device to another as different devices do have different features so the system files will vary. Also the maps are locked to a specific device so they will not work if you transfer the files.
