Zumo 660 Maps issue

Hi, I have a Zumo 660 that I purchased the lifetime maps update option for in May. I updated the GPS today and it no longer works correctly. It boots up, says loading maps but the progress bar does not load. it then loads the dashboard with Where to / view map etc.. If I click where to then Address it says "No Data Available". If I go to Map info under tools it has "CN Europe NT 2015.20 3D" ticked, there are no other maps listed which I thought was odd.

I have tried clearing user data/reset, I have re-installed the maps using Garmin express which say it worked but still it isn't working. I've now spent 4 hours on this! My old Tom Tom never had these issues!

Please advise how to fix this as it's driving me nuts!

    I am sorry for the troubles. I have removed some codes from your Zumo's account that might have been causing the Can't Unlock Maps or No Detailed Map message. Please delete the Zumo from Express then add it back and run the Europe NT 2015.20 update again. Let us know if you continue to have troubles.

    I have exactly the same issue, what was the outcome because it is driving me nuts the hours I have wasted.

    I have looked into your myGarmin account and your Zumo 660 device. From what I found it appears you had some previously unused map update downloads that could have been causing this issue. I have cleaned up your map update downloads at this time just to be safe. When I looked at your map updates though it appears you did manage to get the current map update unlocked to your device. You can try deleting your device out of Express and re adding it back. Once this is done re install your maps and see if this clears up your issue. If you still experience the same issue you will need to call technical support.

    Thanks, did what you suggested and still the same, maps etc are on sd card but not being read by unit, when I turn it on the only map in 'Map Info' is CN Europe NT 2015.20 3D.

  • Since the 3D map is on the Zumo's internal memory, there might be an issue with the sd card. Did Express specifically prompt you to select the SD card during the update? Have you tried a second card or formatting the current card?

    Can you tell me the names of the files inside the Garmin folder on the sd card?

    Yes Express did prompt me to select the sd card, the card was formatted for this last attempt. Files on the sd card are in a folder called Garmin, they are
    gmappupdate.gsd,
    gmapsup1.gma,
    gmapsup1.img
    gmapsup.unl

    Have spoken to Garmin support this morning, got to send unit back, couldn't sort it over the phone.

    Well the saga continues, got a replacement Zumo this morning, tried to load 2015 eu maps and it's done exactly the same thing, what is the point of selling lifetime map updates if it isn't going to work. I'm now just under £10 out of pocket and no better off than I was.
  • What card are you using? Is it formatted FAT32?

    Lifetime updates do work, I've been doing it for years as have many others so something is wrong somewhere.
