Improve user experience with Express

I think I've posted this suggestion before but there has been no change so will try again ... :)

While Express works very well for map updates now it could be made far more 'user friendly' to help improve the users experience. We seem to get numerous queries through these forums from folks wanting to also download maps to their PC to view in Basecamp and also from users struggling to select/change regions. Neither of these tasks are obvious, one being hidden away under advanced options and the other often invisible until the current map has been updated, and even then the choice is limited (eg I am only offered Western Europe or the full EU map for one of my GPS, presumably because in the past that is what I've installed).

Surely it would be possible (?) at the beginning of the map update process to present the user with options prior to the update starting, along the lines of:

Do they want to install the update to device, device and PC or just PC (in other words as the advanced options are now but 'up front' and not hidden away). This could be via a simple drop down list.

Which region do they want to install, giving ALL the options available. MapUpdater does this and it makes it so simple.
