Just for grins I took some of my very old Garmin devices and tried to see what Garmin Express did. It correctly identified them, but told me that it was not compatible for use with them. One device was a GPSmap76csx.
However, I'd think your GPSmap64s should be compatible, or maybe that's to come yet. But if GE didn't even see it, I'd suspect something else is up. Maybe you need to check these things...... http://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/case.faces?caseId={e908ee90-c6c1-11e1-dcef-000000000000}

The GPSMAP 64s does not support the Sync feature yet. The Sync feature is mainly for fitness devices and the information they produce. The GPSMAP 64s is mostly an Outdoor device. There will probably be a time in the future when Express will sync tracks from some outdoor devices but not yet.
