Garmin Express

Struggled to death to install express.Now it wants to know : which user account do you want to use to run this program.When i choose current user it just springs back to the same question. On Garmin Connect it says no device on modern page.On old one there is plug-in and that picks up the device. ( Forerunner 10 )

    And when i start Garmin Express and click GET STARTED it does not pick up my device.Using usb cable (it shows on pc and on Garmin communicator plug in)

    The behavior that you are describing is due to Garmin Core Update Service failing to start. This would cause the prompt that you are describing and also keep Garmin Express from detecting your device. Several issues can cause this to happen from permissions issues on the computer to problems with Windows componants.
    First, make sure that you are logged into your computer using an administrator account and try temporarilly disabling any security software that might be causing issues. Next, try repairing the Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0 as problems with the .NET Framework can cause a variety of problems with Garmin Express. To resolve an issue with Microsoft .NET Framework, download and run Microsoft's .NET Framework Repair Tool:

    If you are still having trouble after repairing the Microsoft.NET Framework, it would be best to contact support by phone so that we can take a look at the application logs to see what error(s) are occurring.
