Nuvi 3760 stuck on loading map screen since Map Update today.

I need your help pls. I installed the latest map update (Full Coverage of Australia & New Zealand 2015.20) for my Nuvi 3760 - gave me a notice that update was completed. When I disconnected and turned on my Nuvi Navigation system, it remained on the garmin start up screen and stayed like so for 2 hrs. now. It is not even recognised by garmin express nor my garmin dashboard.Pls. help

What have you tried so far?: I have tried to switch it on and off so many times but still failed.

Please help as we are travelling to Brisbane soon and we need our GPS to navigate safely there and to get to where we need to go.

You posted this originally in the Connect forum so I've moved it to the Express one. Have you tried a master reset?

Hi sussamb, I tried doing the master reset. But it's not letting me. The screen blacks out after pressing for 10 seconds. And the prompt that usually comes up to turn the device off doesn't appear as well. Hope you are able to help me out on this. Many thanks.

Sounds like the map download is corrupted. The solution is to access the nuvi and delete the map files. How to do that is beyond the scope of these forums but try googling Garmin Cure. Having deleted the corrupted files you can then reattempt the map download. Ensure you do a 'safe eject' after the map download as that helps prevent issues (you may have done that this time but just a hint in case you didn't)

Thanks so much sussamb, I did do a safe eject after completing the latest map update. When I tried to switch it on to try it this problem occurred. I have been trying to fix this problem since this morning. The links you have provided were great too, unfortunately I think the map is corrupted. I will have to send this for repairs.
