Unable to sync...

I keep getting the following message:

There was a problem communicating with Garmin servers. Please try again later.

I also get a "Server Error" when I try to sync via bluetooth on my iphone.

This is getting really aggravating.

Can anyone assist????!!!!

I am assuming that the trouble that you are having is with the Fenix 2. It sounds like you may have an activity on the device that is unreadable which would cause an error with both Express and Garmin Connect. You can try uploading the files manually by following these instructions:
    • Log in to connect.garmin.com
    • Click the Menu icon (the 3 horizontal lines at the top left corner)
    • Click Activities
    • Click Import (top right corner)
    • Click Choose File or Browse
    • Navigate to the Garmin Device
    • Open the Garmin Folder
    • Open the Activities folder
    • Select an activity to upload
    • Click Open
    • Click Upload activities from file*
    • Repeat steps 5-11 until all files in the Activities folder have been uploaded

*If you receive an error when uploading a file, delete this file from the watch.

Once all of the files are uploaded and/or removed from the watch, you should be able to sync again going forward.

I get the same error with my Edge 500 in Garmin Express and haven't ever been able to add it as a device in Garmin Express since I purchased it over a month ago.

After reading your post, I manually uploaded all activities through Garmin Connect, disconnected the device from my PC, deleted the history on the device, but when I reconnected I still got the same error message in Garmin Express.

Immediately before trying to connect the Edge 500 I synced my Forerunner 210 with Express without any problems, so it can't be an internet security/firewall issue or that the Garmin Core Update Service isn't running.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Try deleting the device from Express then add it back. Perform a Master Reset on the Edge 500 now that you have all the activities uploaded to Connect.

What should I do if I'm having issues with the Garmin Express client?

How do I master reset my Edge 500?

Thanks Curt. The master reset did the trick.
