WHAT is going on with express ???

i never had any issues with my garmin express and syncing with my 310 xt but now suddenly i cannot update,upload or download anything ??
i tryed reinstalling and tryed the workaround changing the settings as described inhere but with no luck ??

the strangest is that garmin training center still works

  • the second link i cannot see but i have allready tryed the first step several times and is getting really angry
    the thing is that it worked and now garmin has done something so it doesnt work anymore
    wake up garmin and get things working once and for all
  • Sorry but what makes you think 'Garmin has done something'? Everything is still working perfectly for me so I suspect the issue is with your set up somewhere.

  • because it has been working perfectly up untill now so i guess it has to be an update that prevents from syncing
    the worst thing about this garmin setup is that every user has to be partly computerwhizard to make things work !!!

    i can still upload to connect from garmin training center and also create workouts in there and upload to the watch it is only the express that doesnt connect properly to the watch

  • this is driving me nuts
    i just tryed to switch back to the classic connect and then everything works perfect with the ant + agent
    but as soon as i try in the modern version there is nothing happening

    There hasn't been any changes in Express or Garmin Connect on Garmin's end in the last 48 - 72 hours that would affect your 310XT's ability to Sync with Connect. Since there is no information about what you are experiencing with Garmin Express, I will provide some suggestions based on past experiences with sync issues.

    1. Please make sure you are holding the Lap/Reset button down after completing an activity until the 310XT counts down from 3.
    2. Delete the device from Express and remove it from the Garmin Connect Account. This does not delete the activities from Connect.
    3. Since you went back to the ANT Agent, uninstall the ANT Agent, use the instructions below to delete the device files associated with ANT Agent.

    Delete the contents of the C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Devic es\
    1. Press the Windows Key + R key together
    2. Type this exactly, %Appdata%
    3. Click OK
    4. Open the Garmin folder
    5. Open the Devices folder
    6. Delete the numbered folder (unit id of the fitness device)

    3. Add the device back to Garmin Express and sync with your existing Connect account.

    If needed you can use the Settings-->History-->Transfer All menu on the 310XT to transfer all the Activities to Express again. It will only upload missing activities to Connect.

    Please include any error messages and a brief description of Garmin Expresses behavior during the sync attempt.

  • After some work I did get the device working again but I still need to use garmin training center and ANT agent to upload tcx training plan from third party soft ware which is not possible through connect now
  • when will it be possible to upload tcx files with training plans through connect and express ?
