I have a forerunner 405 and all of sudden i cant upload anything it ask for a password and it keeps say its wrong but im able to sign into connect with it.garmin express keeps saying server is down when i put the password in.this is so frustrating.dont know what garmin did but it turned something simple to something difficult.i deleted ant agent and garmin express and reinstalled it.still wont recognized password or upload.any suggestions or help is appreciated.the new site is buggy i accomplished a new longer run and added it as longest run and it doesnt show.
If you were previously uploading data with the ANT Agent use the instructions below to clean up the left over ANT Agent data. Pair the device with Express again and enter your username and password.
I. Delete the contents of the C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Devic es\
1. Press the Windows Key + R key together
2. Type this exactly, %Appdata%
3. Click OK
4. Open the Garmin folder
5. Open the Devices folder
6. Delete the numbered folder (unit id of the fitness device)
If Garmin Express accepted your username and password at one time still fails to communicate with Connect, delete the file from inside the C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Passkeys folder and try again.
Remove/un-pair device Uninstall Garmin Express Reinstall ANT Agent Re-install Garmin Express (and that should uninstall ANT Agent and remove all the 'garbage') Re-pair and re-connect device and Garmin Connect account.
I am sorry that you are having trouble. Please make sure that you are not using a corporate or government network or computer as this can cause these types of server problems. Also, make sure that the time, date and timezone are correct on your computer. If you are still having trouble, please describe exactly what is happening when you try to sync your watch as there is some conflicting information in the original post.
There are a few here getting this Server down - try again later message - ask the IT people what circumstances generates this message; I am assuming the "server" is not really down, so something between users and Garmin is triggering the message ?
