Garmin zumo 660 does not boot after update

Hi there,

After installing updates (including Firmware update) with Garmin Express, my Zumo 660 won't boot up again. After showing the initial Garmin logo, the device turns off again. I have even tried a hard reset by holding a finger on the bottom right corner and turning the device on, but nothing happens, after showing the logo for a couple of seconds, the device turns off again.

Any advice?

Does your Zumo show up as a drive in Windows?

If so go to the Garmin folder and delete the gupdate.gcd file. See if it then boots OK. If so that file must have corrupted during the download.

If with that file removes it's still not booting what else (apart from firmware) did Express update?

Unfortunaltey the zumo is no longer recognized by Windows, because it shuts down just after a few seconds. The only time Windows recognizes it, is when I press a finger on the bottom right corner and turn it on. Then it shows up as an USB device for about 10 seconds before disconnecting/shutting down again.

Yeah thanks, I tried that, but the problem is, that my device is not visible by the firmware updater (as it shuts down after a few seconds).
