Problem Communicating with Garmin Servers

Issue is now sorted. :D

I have a new Garmin Forerunner 910 XT and have been trying to link it to my Garmin Connect account. I have downloaded Garmin Express and followed the instructions on linking the device via the ANT+ USB dongle. Garmin Express finds the device but then I get an error message saying there was a problem communicating with the Gamin Servers - please try again later. Is there still an issue with the Garmin servers? Has anyone else come across this issue and has found a fix?

I am running Windows 7 Professional

I have the same issue trying to link my Fenix 2 to my GC account. How did you fix it?

In my case (Fenix 2, Win7 Pro) the issue was that there was a corrupted activity on my Fenix. That prevented the Sync process. The error message in this case, completely misleading, I know.
Try and see if there are any activities in the device which you can't load. Or see if there are odd sized FIT files in the device through the USB mass-storage connection...
