I have the Garmin Nuvi 2598. My question is; how do I reset the device to the status it was when it was factory new out of the box? I want to totally clear the unit of all data and reset to factory condition.
I have tried; Holding down the power button down while pressing on the right bottom corner of the screen. This results in a prompt asking if I want to erase all user data. However, it doesn't seem to be doing it, because all of the cars that I loaded on the unit are still there.
So can someone please tell me how I can hard reset this device to factory new condition?
