Garmin Edge 500 with Garmin Express Issues

Hi,

I am unable to connect/link my Garmin Edge 500 with Garmin Express. I get the following message;

Device Found
Edge 500
Serial Number: (No serial shown)
There was a problem communicating with the Garmin servers. Please try again later.

The only option is to ignore or Scan Again.

I have run the web updater and it confirms my edge the latest version.

Running Windows 7.

Any suggestions?

Since your Edge has been registered for sometime this might be an issue with how your computer run Express. Some computers require a changing of the service/ Please see the thread below.

While the error message isn't the same, sometimes this can correct the issue.

I do have the same issue. I tried the solution you suggests but it does not work for me. I'm clueless at this point. Could you help me?

I was able to imitate your Edge and successfully add it to Garmin Express. This rules out a part number issue on our side. Assuming Garmin Express is up to date. I suggest you upload any activities on the device manually. Use the WebUpdater to make sure the software is up to date. Finally and as a last resort perform a Master Reset.
