ANDRE77AB, sorry for the late response. The reason you see 1989 for the date in regards to the linked forum topic, is because the Tanita scale does not have an internal clock to report the date/time of when the weight data was collected. It's normal for the date to default to 1989 and should cause no issues. However if you are using the latest version of Garmin Express and encountering a slow sync or failed to sync, then I may suggest clearing all of the history off the watch minus the latest activities you wish to sync. Then attempt re-syncing the device using Garmin Express, if the device still fails to sync then reference the (sixth post down) linked below.
