I've tried numerous times to install Garmin Express on my laptop which operates with Windows Vista. I continually received a message that the installation failed. I've read the Forum thread relating the issues to Microsoft Windows Installer, which I've unsuccessfully been able to update. I believe I am running the latest version. Can someone please assist in resolving the issue. Much time has been wasted and I cannot upload my workouts in the new version of Garmin Connect as the device is not found.
I was finally able to successful install Garmin Express. With assistance from the Garmin Customer Service staff, here is how to install the software with Windows Vista:
1. Download Garmin Express Installer 2. Disable any firewall or antivirus software on your computer 3. Right click on the Garmin Express Installer thumbnail > select "Run as Administrator" 4. Agree to the Terms and Conditions and click "Run"
