I updated my Garmin Nuvi about two months ago before a big trip. When I updated it everything went smoothly and the updates installed successfully. However, when I was actually on my trip my GPS's display brightness always drops down to 20% after a few seconds. This happens no matter what. Even if I turn the brightness to any other level or put the display time out on never. It always goes back to 20% brightness now. I have been playing around in the settings for hours and I can not find out how to fix this. As long as this issue persists my GPC is basically a $200 paperweight. I can't see the display when its at 20% brightness even when its cloudy out. Its only usefull now at night but even then its still hard to see clearly.
Does anyone know what is going on or how to fix this issue? It did not happen at all before I updated my device with garmin express, but now it won't stay at anything but 20% display brightness for more than a few seconds. This is very annoying.
