Hi,

Its very bad when having two different users using the same pc.
Me.... joba1 using edge 705 and Garmin 405. My wife using Garmin 200.
When she goes into Garmin Express and change user from me to her, she has to shut Down Garmin Express and open it Again to conclude, that the user is change. this afternoon, I started Garmin Express it said my wifes account hoewever it did upload her Garmin 200 details to my joba1 account.

it dosn't Work correct! - change it immy Garmin Thanks.

  • I wanted to use one tablet pc (with full win 8.1) on the go when i am using Fenix2 and my wife FR15. As I understand, i cant have separate accoutns for her and me on one pc with one garmin express? I didnt tried it because i don't want to have all her wourkouts synced with my account.
  • I haven't tried it recently (my wife has stopped running), but I didn't have any problems with two devices associated to two different accounts (a 910XT with my account, and a 610 with my wifes) with previous versions of Garmin Express.
  • I have 2 910XTs and a GPS Map 62S in Garmin Express linked to 2 separate Garmin Connect accounts on a Mac. Haven't tried it on a PC though. Knowing Garmin though, it is quite possible that this may not be possible under Windows.

  • Thanks, i will. For now I just connect FR15/F2 to tablet as a thumb drive and upload directly to GC/Endo.

    I am not sure why this is happening on your computer unless there's some username and password conflict going on. Garmin Express can have different accounts since when adding the device to Express you are required to add the username and password of the account you would like to have the device synced to. Since each device has its own credentials that sync with Garmin Connect it should send data to the specific account without interfering with the other accounts.

    What I would recommend is one make sure you are running the latest version of Garmin Express see FAQ: How do I update Garmin Express? The second thing is delete the devices from Garmin Express and re-add them back. Doing this can clear up and bad data or miss communication with Express.   • Same issue I am having. I cannot get my daughters account to sync with my 910xt it always show my account and dose nothing when I click the Change Account button and sign in as her
  • I'm not exactly sure about the steps to take when using multiple accounts, but you are changing the account before letting your device connect to your computer? When I connect my edge to my computer and GE is running, then my activities are uploaded before I can even get the GE user interface open.

    It is possible to have different devices and different accounts but I suspect not possible to have 1 device and 2 user accounts. It may be possible if you use different accounts on your computer.
  • One of the EXPRESSCUSTOMERCARE people will probably need to weigh in on this....

    As for as 1 device with 2 different GC accounts, I thought I'd read that Garmin Express can't tell what user is actually logged into the computer, so you can't simply sign in as a different users to your PC/mac.

    However if you a willing to go through the extra steps of importing your data instead of syncing, then you can use 1 device with multiple GC accounts. You will need to configure Garmin Express to not run in the background, or else it will sync/upload your ride to whatever account as soon as it is connected. Also, your activities will likely need to be deleted before running Garmin Express for a software/firmware update or map update.
  • I have created a case because Garmin Express is not updating Garmin Connect profile after changing the account on the Device page without closing and reopening the Garmin Express window. Keep in mind that this is only a display issue. The login information in the background is changed properly.

    This is correct. Garmin Express stores this information under the system profile so changing the user account will not allow you to keep the Garmin Connect accounts separate.

    You can't have 1 device with 2 user accounts attached to it and have Garmin Express upload to the correct account automatically as there is no way for the application to determine which account to upload to. However, you can change the account that Garmin Express is uploading to manually by clicking Change Account on the Device page in Garmin Express prior to syncing the device. Make sure to change the profile prior to plugging in the device or the ANT stick to make sure it doesn't sync before you make the change.
