Garmin Express Fail

I have an Edge 810
Since downloading Garmin Express my device has successfully synced once (first use). Now all it does it get half way with the green bar & just sits there eternally stationary telling me its syncing & uploading.

What is going on guys? Have you created a monster?

I am unsure why the upload would just stall like you are describing. I have tried to upload data here and it goes through without any issues. What may be happening is there could be some slight corruption in the data and Express may be getting hung up. What I would suggest is that you try to manually upload your data to Garmin Connect. See FAQ: How do I manually upload data from USB devices to Garmin Connect? Once the data has been uploaded try resetting your 810 See FAQ: How do I master reset my Edge 1000, 810, 510, Touring or Touring Plus? The other thing is you want to make sure you are running the latest version of Garmin Express. To make sure you are running the latest version which is currently at 3.2.16 See FAQ: How do I update Garmin Express?

After trying the steps I provided create a test work out something like a 10-20 second activity. Save the activity and then try and upload it and see if every thing goes through. If it does you should be good to go from this point on.
