Missing help file

I have a Garmin Nuvi 50LM and I have accidentally deleted my help file. Garmin support states that this can be downloaded via Garmin Express. This does not do anything. I assume that Garmin Express will only download updates to existing files, not replace missing files. Curiously I cannot find any help files on my backups either.

Where can I find an English language help file?

I don't believe Express will download a missing help file, WebUpdater does though.

Did you go far enough through the process, it offers help files for me. Reinstalling the map won't help.

Strange. Offers files on mine. Guess you're stuck then unless someone else can help.

It's not one file, it's many. One of the Express team should be along shortly with a better idea than mine.

Unfortunately if those files are deleted they are not easily replaced. Garmin Express or WebUpdater will not replace these files. What you can always do is in Express click on the "Help and Manuals" link and view the owner's manual for your device.

I wonder why WebUpdater is offering me the files then? Perhaps because I have the folder but have deleted all the Help files I don't need (all non English language ones). May be worth the OP creating the folder (named Help) and see what happens?

Express won't do it, but WebUpdater does on mine ... clearly though not on yours. I assume you never backed up your nuvi?

The other option is to call Product Support, they have supplied missing/deleted files in the past.

Note you could copy the files from any nuvi 50 as they're not locked to one unit, if you can find someone with them.

Great, Garmin support is normally very good and so it's proved again :)
