Received this error when logged out and selected "Get Started." OS is Windows 8.1 64-bit. I tried using the following browsers: Chrome 32-bit, Chrome 64-bit (beta), Firefox, and Internet Explorer. Please advise, as this effectively prevents any functional, efficient use of Garmin Connect and my Garmin product (Forerunner 15).
I tried that, and it did not resolve the issue. I tried completely uninstalling my third party security app (Norton Internet Security) and disabled the system security settings, with the same result. I do not have the option to use a different machine.
Your internet connection must be Cable or DSL to be compatible. The thread suggested by SUSSAMB is the solution to the Internet Connection Blocked issue. If you continue to have troubles I suggest you contact Garmin Product Support by phone at 800.800.1020 M-Th 8am-6pm and Fri 8am-5pm CST.
I want to jump onto that issue as well. Except that I'm using Linux. All I want is to simply download the file and store it on my harddrive and copy it on the device if I need it.
The possibility to copy stuff back and forth was a main criteria to buy the Garmin devices.
While I can still upload files from file, I can not download created workouts.
Can you please enable the possibility to simply allow download of the file? I don't see the point of implementing another piece of software and force the user to install it - which in addition is nothing which is OS independent.
I am unsure if this is something that Garmin will do in the future. But if you would like to submit the idea, please go to: http://www8.garmin.com/contactUs/ideas/
