After installing Express, Communicator doesn't work (Endomondo)

Hi all.

Today, when i was transferring a workout to my 410, it has jumped me a message that said that I had to update ANT+ Agent and Communicator to Express. I've done it and now many problems appear:

The sync with my 410 fails a lot. I've needed six attempts to get my 410 and PC to communicate. After getting it, I tried to upload to Endomondo using the option ''Import from your Garmin device'' and then, a message appeared. ''No workouts found''.

I've reinstalled both, Express and Communicator and I have te same problem yet. I've need to upload it manually using the .tcx file but...Is this a general problem currently? What should I do? It is very frustrating that communicator does not work.

Thanks a lot!
Regards!
  • If you were previously uploading data with the ANT Agent and had started having trouble after installing Garmin Express, delete the device from Express then clean up the left over ANT Agent data. Pair the device with Express again and your uploads should resume.

    1. Delete the contents of the C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Devic es\
    1. Press the Windows Key + R key together
    2. Type this exactly, %Appdata%
    3. Click OK
    4. Open the Garmin folder
    5. Open the Devices folder
    6. Delete the numbered folder (unit id of the fitness device)

    2. Delete the contents of the LegacyProxy folder located in C:\ProgramData\Garmin\LegacyProxy folder
    1. Press the Windows Key + R key together
    2. Type this exactly, %Programdata%
    3. Click OK
    4. Open the Garmin folder
    5. Open the LegacyProxy folder
    6. Delete the numbered folder (unit id of the fitness device)

    3. Restart the computer

    4. Pair the device and creating a couple of short 1 min test activities.

If you continue to have troubles I suggest you contact us by phone: http://www.garmin.com/us/support/

    Thank you for the support.

I followed the steps you told me and now the device is connected well and no errors. But I have still problems with Garmin Communicator with Endomondo.
I've reinstalled Garmin Communicator too, but I'm still getting a message with says ''Not found the Garmin device. Check that you have connected and properly installed your Garmin device''

What can I do? Now my workouts are saved on: C:/ProgramData/Garmin/GarminConnect/Forerruner 410 ID/Upload/FitnessHistory

    Thanks!
  • The collaboration between Express and Connect allow you to work without the Communicator Plugin. What are you trying to do where you need the plugin? You can send Workouts to the device from the Modern view Workouts menu. There have been some issues with this in the past but as long as your Forerunner 410 is listed in the Devices menu then the Workouts -->Send to Device popup window should allow you to choose it.

I probably have not explained myself well, sorry.

My problem is not related with Garmin Connect, my problem is that after installing Garmin Express, the Garmin Communicator plugin can't find my device in order to upload my workouts to Endomondo, not to Garmin Connect.

    To sum up:

I've always uploaded my workout to Endomondo using ANT+ (to send from 410 to PC) and Communicator Plugin (to send from PC to Endomondo).
Since i've installed Garmin Express, Communicator Plugin can't find any device (to send from PC to Endomondo).

Sorry if my English is not very good, I'm not English.
    Thanks again!
  • Thanks for the additional info. Garmin is currently working with some 3rd party fitness sights to share data with. If you have the ability to manually upload files to Endomondo you can find the activity files on the computer. See the FAQ: Why are my activities files not being stored on my computer once I have uploaded them to Garmin Connect using Garmin Express?
