CN NTU not updating

Well latest is 2015.10 ... run Express and it will tell you if you're due an update.

did that, express downloaded and installed 2015.10 but now basecamp wont start (proceedure entry point......... could not be found) and my unit is still running 2013.3

i installed it on PC and device, its not listed in the device, ive uninstalled 2015.10, reinstalled basecamp and the nuvi and basecamp are now back to using 2013.3, fine.

when i use express to install the update on the device only it says there isnt enough memory space, is it trying to load the whole shebang and not just an update?

5.7GB, thats big for an update surely? but theres no other option on the list of updates in express. and why suddenly doesnt this happen automatically like it used to?

An update is always the full map, and not just 'an update'. If there isn't enough space you will need a sd card.

To get it up and running in BC I'd just select 'Download to PC' under advanced options as I'm unsure what will happen if there isn't enough room on your nuvi and you ask Express to download to nuvi and PC. It may stall as it can't first complete the 'install to nuvi' :confused:

Incidentally I'm not sure what you mean when you say why doesn't it happen 'automatically like it used to'. Map updates have never been 'automatic'.

every other update ive had on this unit has come up with an "map update available, install y/n" box when i plugged it into basecamp. map updater, not express.

now express is saying maps are up to date (2015.10) but unit and basecamp is still using 2013.3, 2015.10 is nowhere to be found. i'll reinstall the update. again :(

If you have Express running in the background like it's designed to do then it would have told you that a map update was available, and would have downloaded the necessary files to your PC in the background before letting you know. Unfortunately what tends to happen is folks run Express only to check for updates, and then wonder why there are the odd issues.

it hasnt, its trying to load 2015.10 as well as 2013.3 instead of just replacing it.
its never done that before and theres not enough memory to do it, so how do i delete the maps to install the new ones?

It should take that into account so if it's saying there isn't enough room you should be advised to either add a sd card or select a smaller map region.

Note there's been a significant increase in size since the map you have loaded now and 2015.10

it will fit fine if it overwrites 2013.3 like an update should. i wouldnt want both on there at the same time, whats the point of that?

mapinstall will install it if i can get rid of the old maps, but express is saying its done when it isnt!
