Unable to install maps I bought

I have a nuvi 50 device with maps for Europe. I recently bought the North America maps but I have not been able to install them in the device. They don't appear in Express and following the instructions in the website I don't get them installed. Garmin support has been of no help till now. I have an 8Gb SD card in the device. Would appreciate any advice.

How did you buy the maps? From where? What instructions in what website?

Assuming you bought the download version you may find this useful, note additional maps purchased won't show in Express:

I am showing that you purchased a download of the lower 49 states. This will not show up in Express. You will need to log into myGarmin and click myMaps to download that mapping.
