Problem with Middle East and Europe map

I just purchased the Nuvi 3490 with lifetime Middle East and north Africa Maps. It also includes Europe. I registered my device and the lifetime update card on the garmin site and it does show in the details there. After installing the garmin express my Europe maps updated to 2015.10 but my primary lifetime update map of middle east is showing error. There was a problem activating the map. I have written to garmin twice but they have not replied. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

    Remove and add the device back to express and attempt the update again: support.garmin.com/.../simpleCase.htm

    Hi

    I also have the same problem activating my Middle Esat Map. The Europe map is installed and activated with no problems.
    I tried all suggestions on this thread no luck.

    My device is Nuvi 3597LM

    Please help, I am travling in 3 days from today.

    There was an issue with a map update code for the Nuvi. I have corrected the issue so Express should be able to update the Middle East & Northern Africa maps. If Garmin Express doesn't recognize the 2015 update remove/add the device from Express to refresh the data.

    There was an issue with your account which has been corrected. Please remove/add your device to Garmin Express and the update should be available for you.

    You should be able to update the maps. The issues seems to be database related and there were only a handful of accounts effected by this. Considering all the variables it was random with the 2015 update. Each case has to be handled separately. I see only about one a week or so now. The issue should not effect further updates.

    Could you clarify, is this a map that came pre-installed on your nuvi for which you've now bought lifetime updates? Or did your nuvi come pre-installed with another map? If the latter then a Middle East lifetime update won't work until you first purchase the map itself.

    MiddleEast and Europe came pre-installed

    My Nuvi 3590 came pre-installed with MiddleEast One Time and Europe One Time Maps. I received map updates from Garmin through the free update time period. Later the software prompted that I should purchase the maps if I would like to receive further updates (not in these exact words). I didn't update my Nuvi until a few days ago, and decided to buy the life time update for the MiddleEast maps. The purchase went through, I was able to see it in my Maps section on my.garmin.com website under my account. I registered it for use with my Nuvi 3590. I can see a list of maps in the 'My Maps' section of the website. The new purchase on MiddleEast Lifetime appears as an update. and on the right it says Manage with 'Garmin Express'. I've connected my device to Garmin express and its detected. But In the updates section I only see Europe being offered as an update for purchase. In the reinstall maps section, again its only Europe thats shown as available maps. My MiddleEast maps are not even listed! Any help will be greatly appreciated, as I just spent USD149.99 on maps...
  • Sounds like another account issue then .. one of the Express team will need to look at your account.
