Garmin Express v3.2.9 won't install - Windows 8.1 (64 bit)

Garmin,

How do I go about getting this installed on my pc? I consistently get the "Failed, try again" error message. I'm now unable to upload any activities from my devices.

No logs in the Event log either so can't debug it.

    For anyone reading this thread the following solved my install issue:

    1. Log in to connect.garmin.com with IE
    2. Download Garmin Express
    3. Install

    It seems Garmin's development team haven't ensured the installation works in Chrome. I run Version 35.0.1916.153 m

    I have no idea why the browser would make a difference in ensuring a downloaded executable would not fail on installation?!?

    Download with IE (8) worked. Not sure why the browser would make a difference, I guess IE knows which Windows platform you are on and what version of the install file to download. (Previously I was downloading with Firefox.)
