Garmin Express fails to install - Windows 7

Hey all,

I've checked the forums for fixes, and have carried out the Windows Net installer fix, and reset the PC with no success.
It doesn't appear in services.msc whilst installing either.

But what happens is it says initalizing during installation (after setting the folders, etc), and then says "Downloading required..."

It then says failed.

The firewall is set to allow it.
Internet is fine as I'm posting right now..

Kind of bugging me.
Do I have to use this software to sync or is there a way to bypass it?

Didn't fix the Express issue, but found the ANT software, and using Garmin Connect I can bypass Express. Not sure what it can offer.
Can I do stuff in Express I can't do using the Connect service?

What browser are you using to try to download Express? Have you tried using Internet Explorer and clicking run instead of save? We have had some reports of people being able to install when trying to run instead of save the program and then run the .exe file.

I'm going to bump this to the top because I'm going to have to go into anger management soon. I've checked my .NET - current.
I've downloaded and saved in Chrome and IE "Failed - Try Again?"
I've tried to run as administrator, same thing.
I've downloaded and "Run" from the download - Nada.
Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on an AMD Phenom chipset. Anybody have any nuggets of wisdom that I can try?

Have you tried using Internet Explorer and clicking run instead of save? We have had some reports of people being able to install successfully when choosing to run instead of save. We are looking into what might cause this issue at this time and hope to fix it soon.

What worked for me was to move the installer in C:\ then run it from that place
