Express does not open

Forerunner 210
Tried the "new" Garmin Connect
Was instructed to download Express, which I did, then switched to the new Connect.
Successfully uploaded two runs from 210.
Under "Sync Status," I have a Software Update (Time Zone Map 14.00)
Clicked "Send Now"
Tried opening Express but times out - indicates I should download it if not already done so.
Tried opening it from tray and from Start Menu - nothing happens - I have never been able to open Express - should I be able to?

    To clarify, when I either right-click the Express icon and select "Launch Express" or double-left-click the Express icon, no new application opens in Task Manager.
  • It sounds as if there may be an issues with the install. I would suggest uninstalling the program and re-installing by following the link below:
    http://connect.garmin.com/en-US/start/

    Thanks, Albert. I did try to uninstall and reinstall - no luck.

    This process briefly appears in Windows Task Manager under Processes when I try to launch Garmin Express.

    Again, I have successfully downloaded Express. I have also uninstalled it and re-installed it. This made no difference. Every time I try to start Express, either by right-clicking the icon and selecting "Launch Express" or double-left-clicking, the same process cited above briefly appears - Express never runs. I have also tried this with Windows Security Essentials (my only anti-virus app) turned off.
