I have updated my current Garmin express to the latest issue and now it won't recognise my unit. I have removed the program and then re installed the program and still it won't find my unit although express tells me it has found the unit but it doesn't come up with the serial number, so I am unable to open the express to update my new maps. I have reset the Nuvi 3590 LMT to factory settings but still the same problem. Contacted Support but they are no help, asking me to do basic steps which have already been taken and they were notified of that, but still no fix. I have asked if they could load my map through Garmin Webupdater which is working great and finds the unit. Anyone able to suggest a fix or has had the same problem? Any help would be appreciated.:mad:
You can't load a map through WebUpdater ... it's for software updates.

Thanks SUSSAMB but I have followed your link and done as required but it still wont open express. I have attached screen shots of the problem. Pic 1 shows when I open express and pic 2 shows after I connect my unit. It is this screen that wont allow me to continue.
Thanks and done those steps, allowed express through the firewall and switched off protection. Garmin Core Update Service is running. still same problem.
Ok SUSSAMB that is where I fail, I am not able to open express from the 1st screen shot. It continues in a loop from screen shot 1 to 2. Therefore I am not even able to see what unit is connected.
