Device not supported message

Trying to up date my map in base camp. I launch GE and it detected my etrex Legend HCX correctly but gives me message Device not supported.
Help!!
I am sure someone will have the solution to this issue.

  • Same thing happend to me today with a Garmin 62ST. Don't know if basecamp is the problem or it is happenstance, but it is annoying. Searching for the error message returns no useful information.
  • The GPSMAP 62ST is compatible with Garmin Express. I was able to imitate your device and add it to Garmin Express 3.2.5 for PC. Garmin Express was able to communicate with our servers and pull up the correct serial number. Please use the suggestions in the FAQ's: What should I do if I'm having issues with the Garmin Express client? and How do I correct the Unable to connect with Garmin Services error message in Garmin Express?

    Your City Navigator North America NT maps were purchased July 19th and were available to download for a 12 months. The maps expired July 19, 2013. If you are looking to get the latest City Navigator North America NT maps you would need to purchase the download again from City Navigator® North America NT. I suggest you read through the FAQ: Should I purchase mapping for my GPS on a disc, pre-programmed datacard, or as downloadable content? before you purchase the maps again. If you plan on keeping the GPSMAP 62st for several years the DVD would be more financially practical.
