Garmin Express won't install on Windows XP

Hi there,

I know there is a end of support message for Windows XP user's. All I want to do is use my Nuvi 2515LM with the lifetime map updates. I had a problem with Garmin Express 3.1.8.0 and and had to uninstall it and now I am unable to reinstall it back onto my hard drive. I keep getting the familar error message "Garmin Express has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience". Does this mean once you have uninstalled this on an XP machine does this mean you cannot reinstall it back on because Garmin are no longer supporting this for XP users? Or is it I have another possible issue?

Requirements say Windows Vista or beyond. No love for XP anyway from Microsoft or Garmin.

I don't know what is correct.

GE will install and run under WinXP SP3. For some, including me, a Microsoft patch needed to be installed first.
