Garmin Express shows wrong device model and serial number

Hi,

I bought a Nuvi 2595LMT recently for my dad. He recently tried to update the maps, and so connected the nuvi to his computer (this is the first Garmin device he has connected to this computer)

Garmin Express says the nuvi is connected. However, it is saying the device is a nuvi265W, and the serial number in Express is completely different than the number on the back of the device!

Moreover, Express says the maps are up to date, we believe they are actually outdated.

Seems like it might be a database issue? Can this be fixed somehow so that Express shows the correct device and updates the device's maps?
