No SD Card Instalation Option

Hi, I use Nuvi 3790 and I try to instal update but device doesn't have enough memory left, so I saw in video that there are two main options
1. Choose region
2. SD Card Installation

My problem is that I have only option to choose region. What should I do to see 2 options. I know I can do some tricks to make update happen but I need it in Garmin Express
  • If there isn't enough room for the map update you should have had the option to choose SD card. First, ensure you're running the latest version of Express, which is 3.2.4

Next, ensure your 3790 isn't connected to your PC and delete the device from Express. Now connect your GPS to your PC but without the card installed. Get Express to scan for devices and add your 3790. Now you should get the option to install a card, this is the point to add the card (this reported to cure issues with the nuvi seeing the card so hope it works for you).
  • If you do not see the SD card option when receiving the not enough space message, download and run WebUpdater. This will update the operating system software on the device. Once that is done attempt the map update with Express again. Please find the link for WebUpdater below:

  • Have you tried updating GarminExpress - new version (today) release notes mention SD installation...
  • Remove the card and run Express ... it should then prompt for the card.
  • The map is only around 3Gb. The rest are things like junction view. I suggest you delete your nuvi from Express having disconnected your nuvi from your PC. Remove the card from your nuvi, reconnect your nuvi to your PC and reassociate it with Express. Now try to update the map and only insert the SD card when asked to do so.
