Garmin Express offering software update for my 220 even though it already has it

Garmin Express keeps offering the 2.70 update for my FR220 even though it already has it. When I checked in the device listing it still shows the 220 on 2.60, even though it is definitely on 2.70

After removing the FR220 from GE and re-adding it, it correctly recognised the latest version was installed and now no longer offers the update.

So it seems GE is unable to update the device data when an update has been installed after the device was registered in GE.
  • It's possible that once the update was complete the file which communicates with the server on your computer "Manifest" file didn't get updated. This is very rare to happen but not impossible. Removing the device and re adding it back into Garmin Express corrects this issue and from what you posted did fix the problem. I will look further into this to see if it can be reproduced.

  • I have the same incessant request to install the timezone update file on my 610... Not important enough (for me) to want to fix it (it's my backup device) but thought it worthy of mention here.
