Express 3.2.4.0 & Forerunner 610 Timezone map update every day

Each time I restart my PC, it's there and it informs me that the "Time zone map update is ready to install".. this happens EVERYTIME I close it and reopen it. I updated the thing like three times and it still appears.

This has been going on since GE 3.0.8.0 at least...

Luckily I rarely use the 610 but it is an irritation.

If WebUpdater says there's an update too this is a DEVICE issue not a GE one.

I once wrote a technical explanation, in these forums, about this issue and why it occurs. Perhaps you could find and read it.

Makes sense but not exactly intuitive that the fault is the same (and without your prompt to go looking, I certainly wouldn't have stumbled across it normally)

No, not that particular one. I have over 3,000 posts and it's really hard to find a particular one...

Anyway it involves the GarminDevice.xml file on your device not being updated properly, by the device, after an update.
