Advanced Options Missing - GE 3.2.4.0

I'm still trying to install maps to my computer - firstly with a mac, & after no joy there, now a PC. the maps concerned are Australia & NZ 2015.10.

Every instruction I've read says to use the "Advanced" link under the device menu. this link existed on the mac GE, but is not on the PC version, as per images below. both GE installations are the latest versions. although the mac GE showed the advanced link, it did not install the maps to the machine, only the device despite choosing to install it to both.

I have uninstalled all Garmin software several times, cleaned out caches & temporary file directories, rebooted, & threatened to throw the machines out of the window. all to no avail. the only upside is that the map does work on the device.

any suggestions would be appreciated!

    To see Advanced options, you need to first click on Reinstall Maps

    Have a look at these screenshots of 3.2.4.0:

    thanks for the suggestion. unfortunately it doesn't work for me. as soon as I click on Reinstall Maps, the maps are reinstalled - no query as to location, device, pc or anything.
    my Mac on the other hand does have the advanced option, however it makes no difference what I select, it only installs to the device.

    Very strange as it's there on mine. Perhaps try another uninstall then reinstall?

    yes, very strange! i've now tried my Mac, my PC, my PC at work, & another PC at work. I've downloaded GE using Australia as the location, USA, United Kingdom - all are the same version, but I've tried them anyway.
    uninstall, reinstall, uninstall, reboot, install, reboot - all options I can think of have been attempted.

    the universe does not want me to get the maps onto my computer! perhaps this is my wife's way of stopping me planning rides.........

    lol ... maybe that's true :confused:

    Just a thought ... have you tried redownloading the map again to your zumo and then see if the Advanced Options button is there?

    that's an interesting one. every time GE starts, I'm told that there is a voice update available. I install the update, but next time I hook up the gps, the update is still there. it is like the gps doesn't like being written to.
    i've gone through the "reinstall maps" a few times - is there any other way to redownload the map?

    Rather than mess about with your zumo just connect a USB stick, create a folder named Garmin and copy the GarminDevice.xml file from your Zumo's Garmin folder to the folder on the stick. Express will then read the stick as your zumo, and you can download the maps to there.

    You can do the same with a sd card.

    tried the usb stick trick on my mac, with no joy. will try on the pc at work on monday.

    If it's not even working with a usb stick something is wrong, suspect this will only be resolved by the Express team looking at your account.

    Scott is experiencing the same symptoms as i reported to you chaps in my postings back on the 10/5/14. I have been unable to save a copy of the maps since i updated to Aus & NZ 2015.10. Is this a problem with your software or has Garmin withdrawn the ability to down load the latest map into my computer for use with Basecamp
