Ever since updating the maps on my Nuvi 50LM a few days ago, when I connect it to my computer via USB, the device and my computer can't see each other. Instead, the Nuvi powers on in navigation mode (meaning it's pulling power from the USB). Ditto Garmin Express -- it can no longer see my device when connected either. Anybody have any idea what the problem might be or what I could try?
Have you changed the USB cable you are using? What you describe is a Nuvi connected to the computer via a USB Charging Cable vs. a USB Data Transfer cable. I suggest you try a different USB cable and USB port. Also see the FAQ: Why is my Garmin device not communicating with Garmin Applications?
