Garmin express syncing with Garmin connect error

I have a Garmin Edge 500 Cycling computer, every day after my ride I upload my ride to the Garmin Connect site, using a USB cable since yeasterday Garmin connect redirects me to a page to download Garmin Express, I downloaded the program, I am using Windows Xp and understand that windows has stop all support on XP

Garmin express connected easy to my device and it shows as connected it also showed that there are two updates for my device that I downloaded, then there is "sync now" button, when clicking this button it says "syncing" and a few seconds later a error message appears. "There was a error syncing with Garmin Connect" When I click on the show details tab it opens and says "It looks like there isn't a ANT stick connected. Make sure your ANT stick is plugged in to your computers USB port and try again"

I Don't own a ANT stick so this is as far as I get, I can't upload my rides now, please can someone shed some light on this for me.
