Problems updating to CN NA 2015.10

Have a Zumo 550 went to update from 2014.40 to 2015.10 and Garmin Express (mewest version (3.2.4.0)
Constantly gives an ERROR when trying to update to GPS and,or pc.

Called support and found that there is a problem - just downloaded 3.2.4.0 and STILL ERROR,

Now I have NO MAP in my Zumo other than the basemap.

HELP!!!!!
  • In that case try deleting the GarminDevice.xml file from the Garmin folder on your nuvi, disconnect it from your PC and reboot it. Then switch it off. Delete the nuvi from Express, reconnect your nuvi to your PC and wait until it shows in Windows Explorer. Open Express and have it search for devices. Once it recognises your nuvi try the map download.

    If that doesn't work then come back, it may need the Express team to look into your account.
  • If you are getting a transfer error when trying to update your maps, try removing the SD/microSD card from your device if you have one inserted. If you are prompted that you need the card, go ahead and insert it, but only if you get a prompt to use the card.

  • Have you let the software update go ahead? Also update Express to the latest 3.2.5.

    Then delete and reassociate your device with Express and see if the map will then update.
  • How long have you had the nuvi? Have you been able to update maps before? Which map are you trying to update?

    2015.10 update

    I have successfully updated a Nuvi 2595 to map v 2015.10 but had to opt for just the Southern Europe portion because the Garmin web site said I needed expansion memory to load the full map.
    Anybody know how much expansion is needed and if there are issues with the full map?
  • Full EU map is around 4Gb. No issues with it AFAIK.
  • Sounds like the download is being blocked. Check your firewall and anti virus settings.

    I'm also having the same issue as [email][email protected][/email], however I'm trying to update the full coverage of Australia and New Zealand 2015.10 and getting the "There was a problem downloading the update.....' message. I've gone through the suggestions on this thread, just tried deleting the device from GE, rebooting pc then adding device to GE, but still no luck.
    I'm using Garmin Express Ver 3.2.9.0
    GPS Unit Nuvi 2597LMT
    Software Ver 4.40
    I've emailed Garmin support but no response yet.

  • There was (is?) a problem with the Aus & NZ maps, not sure if it's been resolved yet, one of the Express team should be along shortly and they should know.
