Problems updating to CN NA 2015.10

Have a Zumo 550 went to update from 2014.40 to 2015.10 and Garmin Express (mewest version (3.2.4.0)
Constantly gives an ERROR when trying to update to GPS and,or pc.

Called support and found that there is a problem - just downloaded 3.2.4.0 and STILL ERROR,

Now I have NO MAP in my Zumo other than the basemap.

HELP!!!!!

    You aren't alone. My guess is that their servers have issues.
    I have Lifetime maps, get the same error with a Nuvi. No other way for me to update maps other than Express.
    It also downloaded and installed new firmware for the Nuvi, then bombed downloading the maps.

    I updated a trail GPS' map the other day without issues, so I know my connection and such are fine.
  • @JASON192$ ... you may want to peruse the rather long thread over on the POI Factory forum regarding the problems with NA 2015.10 and Garmin Express. A number of issues have been identified along with some work arounds. If you are not familiar with POI Factory, you can find this thread by doing a Google search for "POI Factory 2015.10 update out"
  • My golden rule is never to update immediately a new map is released, so many do and the servers just overload. Wait a week.

    And before any update (map or software) ensure you have a full backup of your GPS.

    I also download to a cloned USB stick or sd card. That way if something goes wrong your GPS is not affected. Once the download completes I then manually copy the files to my GPS.
  • v3.2.4 is now out which may solve the issues folks have been having.

    the new map 2015. said 4.3 gb.... but Verizon reports 5.5 gb.... man your maps are very large... I was using a different GPS company for 5 years.. there maps were 1.5gb.

    I use 5gb per month.. and must pay an extra 30 dollars for the extra 5gb... so upgrade map 1 in February and now 1 in May.

    I hope this new stuff is worth it.
  • Bear in mind it's more than just the maps. There's stuff like junction view, voice recognition files etc if your nuvi supports it. The last EU map for example was just over 3Gb but the whole package for a full 'bells and whistles' nuvi was over 5Gb.

    If I was in your shoes I'd head for the many stores etc that provide free wifi ... and download there :)
  • Perhaps you could explain where it's not working? And what error messages you're getting, if any?

    but I can say... I had NO issues installing the 3.2.4 Express and the 2015 map as well ... NO issue. Thursday evening. 5/15/2014.
  • You're not alone, others have had no problem, I suspect it's just 'server overload' as everyone tries to be the first, personally I always give it a week :)
