Sync selected workouts with Garmin Express

So, it seems I need to use Garmin Express to upload workouts from my Edge 500 to the "Modern" connect.garmin dashboard. Can I upload selected activities only using Garmin Express, as I used to with the "pre-Modern" connect.garmin interface? Garmin Express is sadly lacking in any real FAQ or support as far as I can find. It also lacks any significant set of options beyond updating itself.

    Express is what will be used to upload to Garmin Connect. At this time to manually upload activities you do have to use Classic view. There is no manual upload in modern Connect at this time. We are aware of this issue and are currently looking into it.

  • Any movement on this issue? It's getting on to three months later and I still have to switch to Classic just to upload activities from my Forerunner 210. In Modern it just keeps telling me I need to download and install Garmin Express - which is already there, recognizing my device.

    Perhaps you could concentrate a little harder on getting new software to at least meet the same feature set as the old one before adding new stuff that no one cares about. Fancy graphics aren't much use when you can't even get the data into the system.

    At least put out some communication once in a while.
  • There is a manual upload, it's under Activites and has been there a while.

    Agree with this, and no support that I can find as well.
  • What 'support' are you after? If you explain you could get some or be pointed where it is.
  • Garmin Express and the Forerunner 210 are compatible. Try the suggestions in the FAQ: What should I do if I'm having issues with the Garmin Express client?

    Once the device is added back to Express login to Connect Modern through the web browser and click the Menu (3 horz lines) then click Devices. If the Forerunner shows up then the two should communicate. Any other communication issues could probably be attributed to data on the device such as the device or profile settings.
