garmin express 3.1.9.0 suddenly doesnt sync (vivofit anf fr 610)

the tray-icon is rotating all the time, neither new vivofit data nor new forerunner 610 activities seem to be received by the ant stick.

are there known problems with the new version of garmin express?
Previous version worked fine.

I uninstalled and than installed Garmin Express from
C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Core Update Service\APP-express-windows-3.1.9.0\GarminExpressInstaller.exe
and its working fine !:)
