Garmin Express 3.1.8.0 does not "see" maps installed on my Nuvi 760

I have a Nuvi 760 with a nüMaps LifetimeTm Europe subscription. The most recent map I have installed is City Navigator Europe NT 2014.30. When I connect my device to Garmin Express it is recognised and the serial number and software version are collected. However, under "updates" only the "Your device software is up to date" message is displayed, no map data or information is shown.

What I have tried so far: reinstalled Garmin Express (several times), contacted Garmin Support France (who sent me links to update Microsoft NET and update java which did not help) and reinstalled completely City Navigator Europe NT 2014.30

myGarmin.com recognises my device and subscription but tells me to use Garmin Express to update my maps.

A workaround would be to use Garmin Map Updater but when I run it it asks for a product key. In order to update to City Navigator Europe NT 2014.40 I need a product key for 2014.40 because the Garmin Map Updater server does not accept my nüMaps LifetimeTm Europe product key (but it does accept the City Navigator Europe NT 2014.30 product key allowing me to re-install 2014.30).
