Express won't delete 610 device

Hi

I've tried deleting older 610 device, I've tried retiring the 610 device, but Express won't delete it.
It's a problem because that is the device it defaults to when Express starts and my 620 and Fenix 2 won't automatically transfer activities to Connect in the background (I have to open the app and manually select the device every time)

What am I missing here?

Thanks

If you previously had the 610 paired with ANT Agent and you did not Remove the Device from the ANT Agent, Express is pulling the device info from the ANT Agent files automatically which it is supposed to do. You can delete the the contents of the Windows 7\8 C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Devices folder. Express will no longer add the 610 to the device list after you delete it.

Thanks I'll look into it tomorrow
  • I have exactly the same problem but for my 910 on a Mac. Is there a similar procedure? Thanks!

Please make sure Garmin Express is up to date. The issue this post was created for was rare at the time and has been non-existent for several version of Garmin Express. Please see the FAQ: How do I delete a fitness device from Garmin Express? Once this is complete any files that would cause Express to recognize the Forerunner 910XT will be gone.

You can check the locations where Express and ANT Agent stored files:

    ~user/Library/Application Support/Garmin/GarminConnect
    ~user/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Devices
    ~user/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Express/RegisteredDevices/

The name of the folder your looking for is the UnitID of your Forerunner 910XT. Move the folder to the Trash, Empty the Trash then restart and the problem should be gone.
