Connection problems

My wife updated her Garmin Edge 510 from version 2.70 to 2.90 and now it says the software is missing. The unit will not 'reset' and the computer does not recognise it as a 'drive'. I have tried Garmin Express, but it asks for the Garmin 510 to be connected (which it i already). I think it is outrageous that Garmin should release such 'buggy' software. I now have a completely useless brand-new Edge 510. Any suggestions?

Same thing happened to me yesterday. Their phone support is down for "the holiday" (presumably Good Friday; WTF?) and their FAQ site wasn't working earlier. Seems to be up now but I can't find anythng helpful. Really frustrating.
  • Moving this to the Express forum as the team there should be able to help.

Have you had an update on this as I seem to have the same problem?
  • I am sorry you are having this trouble. If you ran Garmin Express and performed a Firmware update to the device and then the firmware didn't load properly this needs to be looked at. In this instance the best thing you can do is contact support by phone.
