New GC keeps telling me theres an update for my FR 610. Time Zone Map, Version 14.00.
I've updated the FR like 5 times now, also erased it from GC. But when I open GC, it pops up again.
Is it just me that have this problem???
Same problem here. I am also having sync issues I had never before. May take 2-3 syncs until it works. I think this Garmin Express software is still beta software. The whole idea of Garmin Express is good, compared to what the previous software was, but it is still very buggy. Btw, I use a FR610 with the latest firmware. Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bit. Garmin Connect 3.1.8.0.
Hi, I have the same problem, each time my forerunner 610 (v2.90) connect to my pc, the Garmin Express intall this Time ZOne Map V14... and it takes ages (1kb/s !!) I dont have any error message after the update, but I know that I will find this update again the next time I reboot my pc... pretty annoying !
Yes, I am having the same problem! I have installed this update (Time Zone Map 14.00) several times and Garmin Express still gives me a notification that I need to update. I am also getting error messages when trying to sync with Garmin Express with my 610. I have been on the phone with Garmin Support but no resolution yet. I am glad I am not the only one with this problem; this is frustrating!
+1 to the list. Forerunner 610 also,same issue, the V14 update waiting to install then failing. While having upload issues tonight (transferring my run to connect) i noticed a new version of Garmin Express software was available - but then it wouldn't allow me to update Garmin express either saying 'can't install while another update in progress' because of the time zone update. I had to uninstall and then reinstall express to get updated version - but it also shows the same time zone map V14.00 update is waiting to install and fails. Also have many more issues updating my new activities to connect - which use to work fine before Garmin express began managing the uploads. Trying to upload tonight's run has started and failed a half dozen times so far - and this 1 run is showing as 89 new activities with today's date despite there only being 1 new run.
very frustrating - was concerned somehow device firmware was at fault for flaky behavior but clearly not.
