Garmin Express (3.1.7.0) - Edge 510 Upload issues...

Hi Folks / Garmin Support,

After installing Garmin Express (3.1.7.0) I'm not able to upload any data from my Edge 510 USB device to the connect.garmin.com site. The device gets recognized quickly and shows up correctly in Garmin Express. Also the SYNC mechanism seems to work fine, after asking for the connect.garmin.com credentials (username / password), the SYNC process starts and the upload to connect.garmin.com finishes with the ‘upload succeeded’ pop-up…

The final look at my connect.garmin.com site shows that NO data was uploaded... :/

Is this a known issue/bug?! Thanks for help/response,

  • If you look around on the forums, you will probably see people complaining that they appear to have lost all of their data on Garmin Connect. Later they discover they somehow ended up two accounts. Their old one with all of their old activities, and a new one that is getting their old activity data. I'm wondering if you are running into this problem. When you are prompted for login credentials it is somehow picking up a different account and uploading your new data there.

    Do you login with your Garmin Connect username, an e-mail address, or do you use Facebook/Google+/Yahoo/Twitter/Live!/LinkedIn? Have you always logged in using the same login system?

    THX for your reply - YES, I did a quick research and the forum is full of troubles and complaints abount the new features/tools/software... For about 3 years I have uploaded all my data via the web-upload (connect.garmin.com) or via the ANT-Agent - all worked fine and I have only ONE connect.garmin.com account holding nearly 1.000 ACTIVITIES!
    I don't wan't to spread my data and create an 2nd account - if the new tools are not working with the existing connect.garmin.com account - I will further use the old and approved web-upload features... I only use my USERNAME (NO Facebook/Google xx/ or other social media shi*).

    I am having a similar issue with my 310XT since upgrading to Garmin Express 3.1.7.0 . It is saying it has synced but the activity is not in my Connect account or as a FIT file in the location on my laptop that it was with the previous version of Garmin Express.
