Express data transfer problem 310xt

I am having a problem with new workouts not being sent to garmin connect. When I sync express to my 310xt "Transfering Data" shows up on the watch and "Sync complete! View data at Garmin Connect" appears on the status bar of express. Either express is not transfering data from my 310xt to express or express is not sending the data to Garmin connect. It says "No items to sync" even when I have 3 new workouts on my watch.


Also under "Updates" it says my device software version 0.00, on the "Settings" page it says my garmin express software is 3.1.7.0.

  • Exactly the same problem. After recent update to "0.00" no information is sent to my PC (I looked in the Program Data folder) and of course, nothing then transfers to Garmin Connect. I uninstalled and reinstalled Garmin Express to no avail. I did a soft reset of my 310xt to no avail. I am assuming there are thousands of people having trouble like this around the world. I do not want to do a hard reset because recent data needs to be transferred first.

    What in the world is happening? Are your programmers the same ones who created HealthCare.gov? Your reputation in the industry is dwindling, Garmin. Please wake up and shake up the programmers. Or get some new ones. Time to clean house.

    I've been patient for several months, but after dealing with several ongoing issues (also no maps downloading...still), I am ready to broadcast to Facebook, Twitter, etc., that people considering your products not do so. There are lots of Twitter chats that are geared to the running community. The word will get out quickly.

    I hope you can find some way to right the ship.

    The upload issues are caused by the software version 0.0 on the FR 310XT. Check the software version on the watch. If it is 4.50 then do a master reset, delete the device from Express then Save it again. Express should report the software version correctly and the upload issues should be resolved.

    To check the software version on the 310XT:

    • Press Menu
    • Select Settings
    • Select About Forerunner
