I'm trying to update a Nuvi 780. The Garmin Express update can't complete due to insufficient space. The help text says to change your region in the Device tab, but there is no option to change it there. Please advise.
Do you have a 4-8BG SD card in the 780? Garmin Express should prompt you to use the SD card memory and install Full Coverage of North America. If there is no SD card then Garmin Express will prompt you to select a smaller region after it determines the lack of memory. See the information in the FAQ:

I have this problem as well using a 3760T in exactly the same circumstances, i.e. no space. Although there is a 4Gb SD card formatted FAT32 in the device, I get no prompt to load the maps to the device
Remove the card. Ensure Express is up to date. Delete the device from Express then do a scan for devices and add it back. Now try to update the maps and only insert the card when requested by Express.
