cannot download map update

I am getting error code "AUCoreWriteUpdateFailed (Code:32): Core library error occurred in file 'IOU_UsbLinkImpl.cpp' at line '827' with code '0' with message ''.

how can this be fixed ?

Try this:

Right-click the Garmin Express shortcut on your desktop and select Run as administrator to give the app full access to modify files in your system directories.
