So I got my 11 year old son a real Garmin watch. He has no smart-phone yet, but Garmin allows me to setup an account for him under my parent account. T
o my suprise Garmin Express blocked introducing his account due to the fact it was a child account.
This now forces me to use my own phone to sync,
meaning
- I need to log out of my own account,
- login to his,
- sync and
- login to my own account again.
In all still ok, but....
with that sync my son also has my calendar appointments, and possibly messages I generally receive on my watch. And even after logging back in on my own account, the calendar meetings remain in the watch including reminders .
So besides buying him a smart-phone (or creating an android account on my phone for this) he doesn't need, Garmin Express seems to be the best tool for the job. Maybe you had good reason for this block, or have a better solution. I am curious what that is. But my request stands as most parents by now start to agree that smart phones should be introduced as late as possible in these kids lives,
